Catch agents going for secrets
Argus flags when an agent opens your cloud keys, tokens or other sensitive files, or tries to send a secret off your Mac. Switch a channel to Block and it stops terminal agents from reading them.
Replay any session
Step through a recent agent session to see what happened and what left your machine. Session history stays on your Mac for 30 days.

What you need
- An Apple Silicon Mac (M1 or newer). Not sure? Open the Apple menu → About This Mac. If the Chip line starts with Apple M (M1, M2, M3, M4 or later), you're set.
- macOS 13 Ventura or later.
- An admin account, to approve macOS prompts and enter your password during setup.
What leaves your Mac
The contents of your source files, and the contents of what your agents send and receive, are not sent to us.
Argus sends us app health signals, usage counts, and a log of what your agents did (for example, whether an action was allowed or blocked). This is linked to your Argus account email.

Verify your download (optional)
The app and disk image are signed with a Developer ID and notarized by Apple, so Gatekeeper checks them automatically. To confirm the file independently, its SHA-256 is:

Install in four steps.
Install
Open the .dmg and drag Argus into Applications.
Open it from Applications
Launch Argus from your Applications folder, not from the disk image. When macOS asks about an app downloaded from the internet, click Open.
Follow the setup
Pick the agents you want watched, then click Turn on and approve the two macOS prompts. Restart your Mac if Argus asks you to.
macOS may show Background Items Added. That's Argus.
Optional: turn on file & command capture to see what terminal agents read and run. To stop them reading secrets, switch a channel to Block.
Reopen your AI tools
Quit and reopen Claude, Cursor or any agent that was already running, so Argus can watch it.
